The Summer camp of Confucius Institute in Dakar University of Senegal has entered LIST

On the afternoon of July 3rd, the Confucius Institute of Senegal University, hosted by the Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education, visited our university to learn about Chinese history and experience Chinese culture. Tang Yu, director of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee and the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee, Chen Li, director of the Office of Cooperative Development and International Education, and relevant officials of the provincial and municipal Friendship Association accompanied the visit and study. Tang Yu extended a warm welcome to the summer camp and the delegation. He hoped that all the students could further understand the charm of Chinese history and culture, become active promoters of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and ambassadors of friendly exchanges between the Chinese and Sierra people, so that more international friends can learn about a more vivid and comprehensive China.

In conference room 202, I learned and experienced the paper-cut art of traditional Chinese culture. Wang Long, director of the Preschool Education Teaching and Research Section of the School of Humanities and Arts, explained the paper-cutting culture and techniques to the students. The students listened carefully and operated on the spot. The atmosphere was relaxed and active, and they cut out their satisfactory paper-cutting works. Summer camp student Andy said excitedly: "I especially like China, like Chinese history and culture, Chinese paper cutting is very magical, through simple paper and scissors can create a variety of beautiful things."At the end of the visit, the summer camp students enjoyed the traditional folk instrument erhu solo performed by the students of our school.

In his concluding speech, Chen Li said that for a long time, our school attaches great importance to international cultural and academic exchanges, adhering to the concept of open school, committed to carrying forward the traditional Chinese culture, building a bridge of communication and interaction between young people from different countries, and constantly promoting the internationalization process of our school. Welcome all the students from Senegal to visit our school often to learn about the profound educational heritage and development process of the school. I also wish the students a full trip to China.
