The Chinese Classic Recitation Competition was held from June to December this year by Ministry of Education and National Language Committee of China. The purpose of this competition is toguide the public get closer tothe Chinese classics, improve our language using ability, cultivate the spirit of patriotism, and provide spiritual motivation for realizingthe Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the nation.

Two of our foreign students, Mundhir from Tanzania and Hudhaifa from Yemen, both won the national third prizes in the competition. The recognition of winning a prestigious competition like this is hard, and it is a greatchallenge for the foreign students using Chinese in a public match. However, with Professor Shaojing Wang and Professor Hong Zhao’s advice and help, they got excellent results.
