The College of Mechanical Engineering is one of the secondary colleges of Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology with a long history of 70 years. Three majors of the bachelor degree are the Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, the Automotive Service Engineering and the Mechanical Process Technology. There are also two higher vocational majors, the Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation and the Engineering Machinery Operation and Maintenance.

About 14,000 students are studying in our college each year. The college has 65 teachers, including 1 Special-term Professor in Liaoning Province, 8 professors, 23 associate professors. There are 7 teachers with doctor degrees and 36 teachers with master degrees. 

There is 1 Provincial Engineering Research Center and 1 Provincial Off-campus Practical Education Base. The total area of the experimental and training sites is about 5,275 square meters and the total value of experimental equipment is about 44 million yuan.

In the past three years, the college has undertaken 14 natural science research projects and more than 50 papers were published in academic journals at home and abroad, over 20 papers of which are indexed by SCI, EI and ISTP.
