College of Sugon Big Data is a featured industry college, which was founded on Industry-education Integration  and Innovation Project of the Data China "Hundred-Schools Project" by National Center for Schooling Development Programme and Sugon Information Industry Co. Ltd.  in 2016. 

The Data China "Hundred-Schools Project" is to select 100 universities nationwide to deploy the "Sugon Big Data College" and the "Sugon Big Data Application Innovation Center", integrating talent training, scientific research support, industry application and social services. They will build a collaborative innovation network for big data applications, focus on big data key technologies and big data applications in several key national industries and carry out collaborative innovation in production, learning, research and use in order to provide a full range of data services for education and other industries.

Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology is one of the first 41 pilot universities in the Data China "Hundred-Schools Project". After the inspection and evaluation by National Center for Schooling Development Programme, our university became one of the first 23 project universities.

Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology works together with Sugon to implement an all-round process of integration of production and education and collaborative education, form a school-enterprise mixed faculty and co-construct the two majors "Computer Science and Technology" and "Data Science and Big Data Technology".
