Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the selection results of the 7th National College Student Network Culture Festival and the National University Network Education Excellent Works Selection and Exhibition Activity. The online article "Lan Shan Chu" (supervised by Wang Jiaoyue) written by Zhou Xuanru from the School of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering at our university was selected for the Excellent Recommended Works Award. This is the first time that our school has won an award at the National College Student Network Culture Festival and the National Excellent Works Selection and Exhibition of Online Education in Universities, achieving a breakthrough of zero national awards for this award.
The theme of this event is "Strive to be a good netizen on campus, gather positive energy on the internet, and shoulder the responsibility of building new achievements". Since its launch in September 2023, a total of 50771 works have been collected from 31 provinces (regions, cities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in China. After qualification review, expert selection (preliminary selection, multiple selection, final selection), and political review of works, more than 1000 innovative works in micro videos, micro movies, animations, photography, online literature, public service advertisements, audio, campus songs, and other categories have been selected. Among them, 59 works from Liaoning Province have been selected.
The excellent results achieved this time fully demonstrate the effectiveness of our school's work in network culture construction and network ideological and political education. It is the result of our school's consistent adherence to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in shaping the soul and educating people, closely focusing on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, solidly promoting ideological and political work and innovation, continuously strengthening network ideological and political education work, encouraging teachers and students to actively participate in network culture creation and practical activities, and striving to improve their network literacy and innovation ability.
