Recently, the 2024 National College Student Computer Design Competition has successfully concluded, and all 8 national competition works recommended by our university have won awards. Among them, 2 works won the second prize in the national competition, and 6 works won the third prize in the national competition.
The 2024 China University Computer Design Competition is divided into 15 categories, with 7 national finals areas including Shenyang, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Jinan, and Jinhua.
After multiple rounds of selection in the school competition, our school ultimately recommended 52 works to enter the provincial competition. A total of 154 valid works participated in this school competition, involving nearly 800 participating teachers and students, setting a new historical high. After the final evaluation, our school's entries won 36 provincial awards, including 6 first prizes, 11 second prizes, and 19 third prizes in the provincial competition. Based on the evaluation of the provincial competition, our school has recommended a total of 8 works to participate in the national competition, including 2 works from the Shanghai competition, 1 work from the Nanjing competition, 2 works from the Xiamen competition, and 2 works from the Shenyang competition.
From July 19th to August 16th, our school's participating teachers and students went to each competition area to participate in the national finals. On August 16th, all entries from our school were completed in the competition, and all 8 national competition entries won awards.
This competition lasted for six months, from organizing school competitions to recommending excellent works to participate in provincial and national competitions. Despite the annual reduction in the number of award-winning works in the national competition, our school has made new breakthroughs in both quality and quantity of award-winning works in the national competition this year. The computer design competition not only enhances the reputation of Liaoning University of Science and Technology among universities in the province and even across the country, but also further stimulates the enthusiasm of students and teachers to participate in subject competitions, enhances students' innovation awareness, cultivates teamwork spirit, improves students' practical application ability, and tests the achievements of our university's application-oriented talent cultivation.
