On June 9th, the "McDotti Huayi Cup" Liaoning Province College Students Metallographic Skills Competition and the 13th National College Students Metallographic Skills Competition Finals (Liaoning Division), hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and the Higher Education Materials Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, successfully closed at our university.
A total of 862 participants from 26 universities have registered to participate in the Liaoning Province College Students' Metallographic Skills Competition. Our school has 35 contestants participating. After fierce competition, our school won 4 special prizes, 3 first prizes, 14 second prizes, 13 third prizes, and 1 excellent prize in the 4th Liaoning Province College Student Metallographic Skills Competition. All 5 contestants who participated in the semi-finals of the National College Students' Metallographic Skills Competition (Liaoning Division) have been shortlisted for the national finals.
Metallographic technology is the foundation of material testing and research, and metallographic skills are the guarantee for the realization of metallographic technology. The Metallographic Skills Competition, as an important event in the field of materials science, is of great significance in further enhancing the practical and innovative abilities of students majoring in materials, machinery, and other related fields in higher education institutions in Liaoning Province, encouraging young college students to practice the spirit of craftsmanship, deepening educational and teaching reforms, and innovating talent training models.
