In order to seize the development opportunities of artificial intelligence, promote the implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence Plus" initiative, and lead the development of new productive forces through technological innovation, the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Department, in collaboration with the Shenyang Artificial Intelligence Computing Center, jointly organized the first Liaoning Provincial Youth AI Innovation Competition from April 17th to 25th. Teacher Yang Hong from the School of Mechanical Engineering of our university represented the school to participate in the university and institute track competition and ultimately won the third prize of the Liaoning Provincial Youth AI Innovation Competition.
The competition featured three tracks: enterprises, universities and research institutes, and young students. Teacher Yang Hong from the School of Mechanical Engineering at our university, representing the school, stood out from over 200 projects after intense competition and successfully advanced to the finals. On the morning of April 25th, the Provincial Science and Technology Department, in conjunction with the Provincial Industry and Information Technology Department and the Provincial Data Bureau, held the Liaoning Province "Artificial Intelligence +" Technology Empowerment Initiative Launch Event in Shenyang. Vice Governors, the Director of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, and other leaders attended the event. In the afternoon, the finals of the Liaoning Provincial Youth Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition began. After live roadshows, questions from the judges, and scoring, Teacher Yang Hong's project "Software Platform for Automatically Generating PLC Electrical Schematics Based on Multimodal AI" ultimately emerged victorious in the fierce competition and won the third prize in the Liaoning Provincial Youth AI Innovation Competition, bringing honor to our university.
Next, the school will continue to delve deeply into the fields of intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence, strengthen the construction of its teaching staff, enhance students' skill levels, and use this competition as an opportunity to summarize experience and contribute more to the high-quality development of the school.
