In early June, the finals of the Liaoning regional selection for the 2025 National College Student E-commerce "Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship" Competition were held at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. On July 19th, the award list was announced, revealing that Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology had achieved excellent results, winning 2 provincial first prizes and 7 second prizes.
In November 2024, the university's internal selection round of the National Collegiate E-commerce "Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship" Competition, hosted by the College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and organized by the College of Mechanical Engineering, officially kicked off. Teachers and students from the entire university actively participated, with a total of 141 entries submitted. The preliminary round of the university competition was conducted through offline anonymous defense reviews, ultimately selecting 68 award-winning entries. According to the provincial competition rules, 15 projects were recommended to participate in the provincial competition based on their performance rankings.
In the provincial competition, the contestants actively prepared and fully demonstrated the innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial aspects of their projects through their excellent speeches in the defense stage. Ultimately, "Sound Elimination Escape - Acoustic Metamaterial Muffler and Its Performance Testing" and "Electric Little Two - Development and Implementation of Online Monitoring Platform for Power Grid" won the first prize in the province; "Intelligent Listening and Discrimination - Multi-source Acoustic Frequency Health Diagnosis System for Large Wind Turbines", "Young Plant Partner - Intelligent Root Bud Garden", "Fishing Joy Without 'Knots' - Production and Sales of Knotless Line", "Ice and Snow Sound and Shadow - New Media Technology Empowers Creative Design and Practical Promotion of Benxi Ice and Snow Theme Cultural Tourism Products", "A Desert Intelligent Aerial Seeding Device", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Children's Fun Science Education New Seedling", and "One Word into a Picture - Voice-Controlled PLC Electrical Design Drawing Automatic Production System" won the second prize in the province.
